RoketAd is an advertising network for indie hackers, SaaS founders, developers and the people who build and read about software. This page is the short version of what that means.

The problem we are building for

Independent products rarely fail because the software is bad. They fail because nobody finds them. The usual options are a social post that disappears in an hour, a directory that sends twelve visitors, or a large ad platform that wants a budget and a learning period you cannot afford.

Meanwhile, there is an entire ecosystem of independent sites, newsletters, tools and communities whose readers are exactly the people those products are built for. There has been no simple way to put a relevant product in front of that audience.

That is the gap RoketAd exists to close.

What RoketAd does

Advertisers create a campaign, choose a category and a budget, and their ad appears across participating sites in the network. Publishers keep control of what runs on their pages and earn from the placements they host.

The important details:

  • Contextual by default. You choose categories like SaaS, AI, DevTools or Productivity, not personal data points.
  • Self-serve. No sales call, no minimum retainer, no agency in the middle.
  • Transparent reporting. Impressions, clicks, CTR and cost per signup on one page.
  • Quality rules. Every campaign follows the same advertising guidelines, and publishers can exclude categories.

How a campaign works

  1. Create the campaign. A destination, an ad, a budget.
  2. Pick the audience. Categories that match the people you want to reach.
  3. Launch. Your ad runs on relevant pages in the network.
  4. Measure. See what was delivered and what it produced, then decide what to do next.

There is no long setup, and no requirement to spend more than you planned. If you want the longer walkthrough, it lives on the how it works page.

For publishers

If you run a site, newsletter or community for developers and founders, RoketAd lets you monetize it without handing over the reader experience.

  • You approve the categories that can appear.
  • Ads are designed to be lightweight and clearly labeled.
  • You get reporting you can actually read.
  • You can stop at any time.

Applications are open on the publisher page.

What RoketAd is not

  • Not a replacement for Google Ads at scale. It is a focused network for a specific audience, not a universal demand-capture machine.
  • Not a directory. Placement is paid and contextual, not a one-time listing.
  • Not a data broker. Targeting is based on the content people are reading, not on profiles or third-party tracking.
  • Not a magic growth button. It works when the product and the landing page work.

Early access

RoketAd is pre-launch. Campaigns and accounts open to waitlist members first, and early advertisers get founding pricing.

If the idea of reaching indie builders in the places they already read sounds useful, join the waitlist. One email when we open, and nothing else.
